Chile denies Peru spy charges

The two  South American countries; Chile and Peru has been fighting over a spy scandal which pressured Chile to deny any Peruvian accusations of a spy of Chile working in its own air force; Victor Mendoza was charged with passing secret information to Chile military forces.

Peru’s president spoke with his Chilean peer about the recent scandal at the APEC meeting in Singapore to discuss the matter but he announced that he’s returning back to Peru to deal with the matter personally.

Chile and Peru has been disputing ever since the late 19th century over the northern border of Chile when Chile defeated Peru in the War of the Pacific that took place at that time and seized some of Peru’s Land.
